Father's Day

Darryl said what he wanted for
Father's day, was to relax on the couch
and watch golf - okay, easy enough.
I mixed up a batch of sangria and the rest
of us relaxed by the pool.

Bruschetta and crab cakes for dinner.

Dessert was brownies, topped with
vanilla ice cream and
fresh strawberries.

Pizza night

Logan and I went to Liberty Market for
dinner last night.

Pepperoni pizza and the most delicious

heirloom tomato mozzerella salad.

Yum!

Fried goodness

Fried Zucchini

and only about 5 minutes later....
I think it was a hit - very crispy
and delicious!
I used the recipe from here.
(only I did not use olive oil for frying,
I used vegetable oil)

plants - this is the second of many.
I should have just planted one.

Good thing we all like it... at least

Summer day

Logan and I made some homemade ice cream
today - Cookies and Cream.

It goes faster if you watch it real close....

Mmmmm!

Cookies and Cream Ice Cream
1 cup whole milk, well chilled
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 cups heavy cream, well chilled
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
About 6 Oreo cookies, coarsely chopped.

In a medium bowl whisk together all
of the ingredients until the sugar is
completely dissolved. Freeze according
to your ice cream makers directions.
~
