Arcadia Farms

Lunch with Mom at my all time favorite

lunch spot - Arcadia Farms. It was another

gorgeous day, we enjoyed sitting on the

patio under the shady trees.

Fun weekend

We had a really fun weekend. It was

Taylor's 17th. birthday on Saturday. Darryl

made his famous BBQ'd ribs and we spent the

day outside enjoying the gorgeous

weather - playing horseshoes, croquet,

the kids went in the pool, and we

played some minute to win it games.

Chloe also had her musical this

weekend - Cinderella. We thoroughly

enjoyed the performance and Chloe did

an awesome job as the Queen and also

several scenes as a villager.

Last night Taylor made dinner. He learned

how to make homemade pasta in his culinary

class, so he made fettucini with alfredo

sauce and grilled chicken - yum!

It was really delicious - fattening

but delicious!

Dinner last night

Made a batch of pesto with

basil from our garden.

Then made grilled sandwiches with pesto,
fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes,
and more basil - yum!

Lemonade & cupcakes

It was a nice warm day today,

perfect for selling

lemonade and cupcakes.

Farmers Market

Bought this sweet bouquet of flowers from

the farmers market this morning.

$1.50 for the bunch!

It was a quiet weekend.

Our little garden is growing nicely.

It is a beautiful morning.

It's a great day to be outside.

Bridal shower

Chloe and I went to Brittany's bridal shower

over the weekend. We put together this

gift basket for her.

Cute idea - each guest brought a new pair
of panties for Brittany and she had to try
and guess who brought them.

Happy Easter

Logan was up at 6 am to see if the Easter

Bunny had filled his basket.

He was suprised that the Easter Bunny
shops at Trader Joes too...

Simple but pretty.

Salad greens from the garden, washed

They made a delicious spring salad,

tossed with a citrus vinaigrette.

Darryl grilled the Salmon over

Mesquite wood.

I made an Asparagus and Gruyere tart.

Super easy - recipe from Martha Stewart.

Everything was just delish!

After dinner, we played some Croquet.

The weather was just gorgeous and we had

a wonderful Easter.

While D was grilling, we noticed some effects

from the earthquake in Mexico. The water in the

pool sloshed back and forth and the chandelier

swayed - crazy!

Preparing for Easter

Coloring easter eggs on the patio.

We had to remind Logan they are Easter

eggs, not Halloween eggs. He made a few

monster eggs - too funny.

Field trip and greens

Field trip with Logan to a dairy farm.

They went on a hay ride around the farm,

fed the animals and ate homemade ice cream.

It was a fun morning.

Our garden is growing nicely.

The lettuces are looking great.

I think I will make a spring salad to go

with our Easter meal.

Arugula is growing especially well.
