Free day

I decided that anything we did today,
would have to be free - spending no money.
It sounds crazy, but sometimes it's hard to do.
First we went to the library and picked up
a few books for Logan and some cookbooks
and magazines for me. We enjoyed reading,
it was a bit gloomy outside.
I made this delicious salad for lunch,
baby spinach,
micro greens, edamame, dried cranberries,
pepitas, cherry tomatoes, and israeli couscous.
It was so yummy.
Logan & Chloe had Freshetta pizza.

we mixed up a batch of
chocolate chip cookies.

Dinner will be something from
the freezer...not sure what yet,
but I have a few good options.
Later, movie night
"Pirates of the Caribbean,
on stranger tides"
with soda and popcorn.
All without spending a dime.

Pot roast for dinner tonight.

Pane Bianco

Taylor and I went to lunch at
Pane Bianco.
They recently expanded from the take-out
only, small space, to include a sit
down dining area.

We both had the Soprassata with aged
provolone, and wood-roasted peppers,
on wood-fired focaccia.
De-lish!

Family style dining tables,
bright and open, with tons of
rustic charm.

They also serve a limited dinner menu,
a few pasta dishes and some of their
infamous pizzas - without the 3 hr. wait!
(for now anyhow....)

Oh... we also had the most creamy
rice pudding, speckled with tons of fresh
vanilla bean - double de-lish!
Can't wait to go back!!

New Years Eve

It was a pretty quiet evening..
we opened some champagne (thanks Kim)
made a nice dinner, then sat out by
the fire for a bit.
