Great Grandma's coffee cake

This coffee cake recipe is my great
grandmother's.
*
I can remember my mom making this for us
when I was little.
*
Best eaten warm from the oven.

Grandma Kennedy's
Sour Cream Coffee Cake
Preheat oven to 350. Prepare topping.
Topping:
1 cup chopped pecans
1/4 c. melted butter
1/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
Cake batter:
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. soft butter
1 c. sour cream
Grease bundt pan. Combine dry ingred.
Cream butter, add eggs, sugar, vanilla
and sour cream. Combine flour with wet
ingred. 1/2 at a time. Mix well.
Spoon 1/2 of the mixture into the pan.
Spoon in the topping and then cover
with the other 1/2 of the batter.
Bake 45-50 min.
Let cool for 10 min. before eating.

Salmon spread

Made this delicious salmon spread
Christmas evening. No exact measurements,
just mixed some cream cheese with smoked
salmon, dill, capers, lemon zest, and
a bit of salt and pepper. Served
with toasted crostini.
Yum!

scrambled eggs with crab & tarragon
sausage links
sliced pears with raspberries
coffee cake
and Mimosas

Everything was delicious as always!
Later we played a new board game from
Uncle Mike & Aunt Debbie - "Buzz Word"
Lots of fun & plenty of laughs.
It was a great holiday!

We spent Saturday up north
hunting for our Christmas tree.
