Fun Weekend
Look at that baby!!
Darryl's boss, caught 35 of these
beauties on a diving trip to Catalina, and
gave us one. We happily accepted and cooked
him up over mesquite wood. Can I say
DE-LIC-IOUS!
I forgot just how much I love lobster!
Served with butter and lemon,
roasted red potatoes, sauteed in butter,
garlic and rosemary & a spinach
salad with green apple, red onion,
Gorgonzola, & toasted pecans - yum yum!
*
Saturday we headed north to Alcantara Winery
for a wine tasting and then on to Page Springs
winery for a few sips.
The weather was just beautiful!
*
Chocolate fountain - yum!
complete with warm, crackling fire.
The weather was gorgeous, and wait till
you see what we had to eat below...
wait for it...
wait
for
it.....

Crafting with Chloe
with Chloe.
Fabric pumpkins - with twigs cut from the
neighbors tree.(which by the way, always needs to be
trimmed so we can even walk by on the sidewalk.
So really I was doing them a favor..)
It was really quite easy,
I do not sew, but was able to make these
no problem. Just cut circles of fabric, ran
a running stitch around the edge of the circle,
then, filled with pinto beans, cinched it
up and sewed closed. Then simply
hot glued on the stems.
We think they turned out really cute!

Welcome October!
This recipe is from Sweet Paul - looks
For us here in Arizona, it means that the
cooler weather is almost here! I couldn't
be more ready. Not only for the cool weather,
but also for the change in menu - soups,
chili, pumpkin bread, and so on...

and sounds delish! Will be trying this
one soon. Today, Chloe and I are having
a little craft day.
(more to come on that idea...)
