Costa Rica - Part 3

Costa Rica. Darryl heard they were big on
their soups, and a local recommended this
place, so we gave it a try. We got such laughs,
I can't even tell you... It was very bland.
The kids were less than thrilled.
So they ordered a cheese crisp... this is what
they brought... More laughs..!
Taylor's face in this photo says it all.
Darryl and I laughed so hard we cried.
Too funny!!

Since the jungle is so high in the mountains,
typically there are clouds streaming through
the trees and the forest floor. But, just our
luck.. since it was such a nice sunny day,
no clouds for the Grizwalds. We had a tour
guide though, who was incredibly nice and very
informative. He carried a telescope which we
used to see the many birds that hid amongst
the trees. If it weren't for him, we would
have passed everything by and not seen
a darn thing.
The dense jungle & vines.

This plant was called "Dutch Shoes".
Chloe thought it looked more like a
mustache.

We were lucky to see this bird, the "Catale" it
was very beautiful and very hard to find
according to our guide.
The pictures don't do it justice though.
It's tail feathers were very long and the
most beautiful aqua color.

Another beautiful bird - can't remember
it's name though...
8 You could squeeze inside of this
tree. The exterior vines feed off
the bark and then eventually it becomes
hollow in the middle.
