First day of school

Backpacks are ready - check.
Pencil box is filled with new crayons
and colored pencils - check.
Lunch is made - check.
Water bottle filled - check.
We are ready for school!

Logan looks a little worried, but
really he is excited - I swear.
Chloe looks adorable as always,
and she is excited - really.
*Note to self - must change that wall
color - it looks like poop.

The school grounds are all nice and green
and freshly mowed. To bad it's sooo hot,
perhaps kids would like to run and play
on them - 106 today - yuck!

And so another school year begins....

Birthday stuff

We surprised Chloe with the guitar
that she wanted for her birthday.

She wanted her nose pierced too...
but we did not give her that - ugh!

Later, we had some family over to
celebrate with ice cream sundaes.
Yum!

Free day

I had the day off today, unexpectedly,
we had no plans, so we headed to the library.
I must say, we completely enjoyed it.
The a/c was nice and cool.
After we found a few books for Logan, and
a few cookbooks and magazines for me,
we settled into some comfortable leather
chairs and enjoyed our reads.

Afterwards we came home and made
orange crush
slushes in the Cuisinart.

then.... surprise, we spent the rest
of the day in the pool.

Grandma Margie came over for dinner
and we did some more swimming while
Logan showed off his diving skills.

Pizza night

Pizza for dinner and some good red wine.
Movie last night was good - a little corny and
a bit predictable, but still pretty cute.
Will have a great soundtrack if they make one.
Very French-y.
15 min. before the movie...,
I was the only one in the theater...
Oh dear.
I don't mind going to the movies
by myself, but don't necessarily want to be the
only one in the place.
Thankfully several others joined me.

Logan and I went to our summer movie today
"Shark Tails" we have seen it before,
but I forgot how cute it is.
Spent the rest of the day in the pool,
too hot for much else...
106 today.

Going to see this movie tonight

"Midnight in Paris"
I love Marion Cotillard, she is in
"A Good Year" - one of my favs.
D got 3 tickets to a baseball game
this evening and I gave up my seat
so Chloe and Logan could go with him.
I think they will enjoy it more than
I would anyhow. So, I am heading to
the movies. This looks so cute and
set in Paris - what could be better?!
