Chicken stock for the soul

One of my favorite things to do on a cool
morning is make chicken stock.
Crazy I know...
Love the way it makes the house smell.
Off to run some errands...

Loss

My sister-in-law Cathy's father

passed away this past week.

We attended his funeral services

on Friday.

He was a good man - a man's man,

a cowboy, strong, hard working,

and honest.

Dinner tonight

Making this Lasagna soup for dinner
tonight. Doesn't it look delish!

It rained this morning and it's
wet and cold outside - well, cold
for us, 52 degrees. I'm happy that I have
the day off. Plan to spend most of it
snuggled on the couch with a cozy
blanket, watching movies.

We got a late start on carving this year,
believe it or not, it was still hot until the sun
went down. It was dark by the time we
finished - crazy!
